I have always been fascinated with the human face and the emotions, expressions and experiences it reflects. So it was only natural that I was drawn to portraiture when I began my studies in photography many years ago. Later on, surrounded by my own pets, I realized that photographing animals was just as rewarding. I had finally found a way to combine two things I really love, animals and photography. Photographing animals is often more challenging than taking pictures of people but once you succeed in catching their unique personality, it's even more gratifying.

I grew up close to nature in my native Sweden. Animals, both wild and domestic, were an integral part of my childhood and I have always lived with pets. Today, I reside in the Californian countryside, which allows me to have as many pets as I always dreamed of-pigs, cats, Koi fish and birds. Im used to interacting with animals and connect with them easily which helps put them at ease when I take their pictures.
